Customers can work with TelaModa artists to give an existing piece a new identity through original artwork and hand-painted customization. Rather than mass-produced fashion, the process results in an individual artwork designed specifically for its owner.

As a founder and creative director, Mendes has helped shape TelaModa’s overall creative vision, visual identity, artistic presentation and approach to bringing contemporary art into fashion. His role connects branding, art direction, artist collaboration, storytelling and the presentation of TelaModa as a wearable art platform.
As one of TelaModa’s artists, Mendes also contributes directly to the creative work itself, translating ideas from his broader multidisciplinary art practice into wearable objects and exploring how an artwork changes when it leaves a traditional exhibition environment and becomes part of the body.
